A FEMALE Post Office worker has thwarted a knife-wielding robber by lashing out with a baseball bat from behind the counter.
Paula Hooper swung at the thug, who was wearing a red devil mask, when he demanded money from the till.
The mother-of-two struck him with the bat before dashing from behind her counter to send him packing.
