A SWANSEA man who assaulted his elderly mother by slapping her in the face has been fined and given a community order.
Swansea Magistrates' Court heard that a witness reported shouting and the sounds of an argument coming form 59-year-old David Jones's house in Townhill at lunchtime on June 9 — and then saw his mother crying at the door of the property.

A DRUNK man rushing home to beat his court-imposed curfew put an 11-year-old boy in a neck lock and threw him to the ground before chasing other children and throwing a bucket at one of them and swearing and shouting at people in the street, a court has heard.
